Dear Friends,

Today marks six months until Election Day! On March 3, 2020, we will vote in California’s Presidential Primary, which is three months earlier than in years past. With this change comes an early opportunity in County races. In these races, all it takes is 50% plus one vote to win the seat outright in March and avoid running a race until November. Taking advantage of this opportunity allows us to avoid an extra eight months of campaigning. 

I declared my candidacy in February after Peter Adam’s announcement that he would not run for a third term. There is an adage in political campaigns, “the two things you can never have enough of are time and money.” It has been my intention from the outset not to waste either. We have conservatively built a professional team, website, developed campaign literature, raised serious funds, and attended receptions. We have taken every opportunity to be involved in our communities, from non-profit fundraisers to veterans breakfasts, from Lompoc Farmers Markets to sporting events in Orcutt – it often seems non-stop. With the finish line in sight, I commit to all of you, I will not slow down!

In the coming weeks, I will send out email blasts like this to announce events, new endorsements and also to let you know when I need a hand.

In the meantime, there are a few things you can do now:
